Q. Does the price include on-site installation?
A. Comparing with solid state lasers, Calmar's fiber laser is very simple to operate. To install the laser, the only thing you need to do is to plug in the wall power.

Q. What does “automatic mode locking” mean?
A. For actively mode locked fiber lasers, say 10GHz or 40GHz lasers, end users usually need to tune several parameters, such as modulator bias voltage, phase lock loop control voltage, pump current and so on, to optimize the performance of the laser. To do this, end users must have a high bandwidth scope (DCA) and Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) to monitor the laser output. Calmar’s PSL laser provides customer an option of automatic mode locking, which is carried out by the integrated computer inside the laser. When you select the repetition rate, the wavelength and the pulse width you want, then turn on the power key. The laser itself will do all the rest for mode locking. You do not even need a DCA and OSA in your lab at all for mode locking.

Q. Can I tune repetition rate continuously for actively mode locked fiber laser?
A. Yes, you can tune to any specified repetition rates continuously for our PSL series laser.

Q. When I tune the wavelength and pulse width for PSL laser, will the laser lose mode locking?
A. No. Calmar PSL laser will keep locked even when you tune wavelength and pulse width. Our laser is really easy to operate and stable. This distinct our lasers from our competitor’s.

Calibration of Calmar Lasers are recommended annually. Calmar Laser is capable of calibration traceable to ANSI/NCSI Z540-1 standards. Please submit an RMA Request to get a quote for this service.
